Injection mapping

Map each injection point and calculate the total at the end

The practitioner records where units were used as the treatment is documented. Aesthetic Pass adds the entered zone values so the saved total follows the actual injection map rather than an advance estimate.

Why the workflow matters

The total should follow the treatment—not precede it

Injectors often cannot know the precise final toxin total before documenting every treatment area. A zone-first record reduces the need to reconcile an estimated total with the points that were actually entered.

How it works

From selected area to reviewed total

The map records practitioner-selected points; it never recommends a point or dose.

  1. Open the correct patient and treatment

Start inside the selected patient's treatment flow and choose the relevant treatment type and product.

  2. Select the documented areas

Use the face model to mark the zones the practitioner treated, such as glabella, forehead or crow's feet.

  3. Enter point-level values

Record the units used at the selected points instead of entering one unsupported summary number.

  4. Review the calculated total

Confirm the sum of the documented zone values before the treatment is saved to the patient's timeline.

Capabilities in context

A map that stays tied to the treatment record

Patient context

The injection map belongs to the selected treatment and patient rather than an isolated diagram.

Zone detail

Record multiple treatment areas and individual documented values within the same workflow.

Automatic total

For toxin treatments, the final total is derived from the units recorded across the map.

Historical review

The saved record keeps zone information available alongside product, lot and treatment details.

Clear boundaries

Documentation—not clinical decision support

The face model reflects the practitioner's entries and is not an anatomical recommendation engine.

  • Aesthetic Pass does not select injection points, products, doses or treatment areas.
  • The practitioner must verify patient identity, every point value and the calculated total before saving.
  • Clinical assessment, training and local professional obligations remain outside the software's role.

FAQ

Questions about injection mapping

Does the map recommend where to inject?

No. It records the points and values selected by the treating practitioner.

How is the total number of toxin units calculated?

The workflow adds the unit values entered across the documented injection points and presents the resulting total for review.

Can I document multiple zones?

Yes. Multiple supported zones can be documented within the same treatment before the final review.

Can I go back before saving?

The treatment workflow is designed to allow review of earlier steps before the final save, so the practitioner can verify the patient, treatment and entered details.
